Rebecca Schnee

4th grade - English

I am thrilled to be a part of this incredible team of educators, parents, and students here at Holbrook Language Academy!

My instructional experiences are varied. I have over ten years of classroom teaching experience in grades K-5, tutored students with autism, and taught reading one-on-one. I have taught a combination class, GATE and resource cluster groups, and directed an after-school program in a private school for gifted and creative students. I have my Bachelors degree from UC Davis and my Masters degree in Educational Leadership with an Administrative Credential.

My passion is identifying what works for each child, teaching to that student’s needs and watching them grow and develop. Students arrive with varied learning styles and educational needs.   My goal is to meet their needs and instill an excitement for learning. I bring music and art into my lessons because it helps students grasp challenging concepts. I provide active, hands-on learning lessons to keep my students engaged. I am committed to instilling my love for learning to my students and am very excited to help each child achieve their best!

When I am not teaching, my husband and I are usually running our 5th grade son and 3rd grade daughter around to music lessons, soccer practices and their school events. We love family movie nights, traveling, camping, hiking together, and spending time with our many extended family members that live locally.

I look forward to having your child in my class this year and know that working together it will be a great year for all of us!
