After fifteen years of teaching within the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, my focus has remained on raising academic achievement in my students, no matter how diverse they may be.  High quality differentiated instruction is a key aspect of successful schools, and this is why I am committed to practicing the most effective ways of delivering this at Holbrook Language Academy.  I believe of equal importance is the ability of the teacher to establish an inviting community, which respects all backgrounds, and rewards all personal accomplishment, to truly motivate students to reach their fullest learning potential.  I currently take advantage of professional development opportunities that stay in line with current best practices and also serve as an elementary delegate for the Mt. Diablo Education Association.
