School Site Council

The main function of the School Site Council (SSC) is to develop, review, and approve the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).  The council also sets and reviews school goals, identifies specific improvements, and establishes budgets to support these goals and actions in the SPSA.  The SSC also plays an important part in encouraging parent and community involvement by collaborating with advisory groups such as ELAC and PAC.

The School Site Council (SSC) representatives are a balance of administrative, classified, and certificated staff along with community representatives. Each member is elected by their respective groups and chaired by the principal. The School Site Council advises the principal on curriculum needs and priorities, as well as maintaining the philosophy and tenets of the magnet program. School Site Council members serve two year terms. Elections to fill open positions are held in the fall.  Agendas and minutes from monthly meetings are posted on this page.
